Selecting a pediatrician can be one of the most difficult decisions a parent has to make. Your child's health is paramount, and you want to be sure that the professional you choose will have your son's or daughter's safety at heart.
Since my residency training in Boston Children's Hospital (1969-1974), a Harvard's teaching Hospital, I have worked in Pediatric Medicine. After more than 48 years in practice I am very involved with my patients and their families, working with a team approach to see our children grow to be healthy individuals incorporated to their families and society.
After working for 26 years in Caracas, Venezuela, I started in 2001 to work in a group practice in Aventura, FL, then initiated in 2007 a Retainer Practice, also called Concierge or Membership Practice. Details about the practice and myself can be found in this website.

Who is Dr. Elias Milgram
I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela in 1946.
Graduated Magna Cum Laude in Medicine in 1969 in Medical School "Luis Razetti", at Universidad Central de Venezuela.
I then traveled to Boston with my wife Evita Brik, where we lived for the next five years.
I participated in a Post-graduate course at Harvard Medical School, followed by an internship in Pediatric Pathology at Boston Children's Hospital (Harvard teaching Hospital). Pediatric residencies were then at Boston Children's Hospital (Harvard Medical School) during three years and Boston City Hospital (Boston University) during one year. I became certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1974.
During the 1972-1973 academic year I was a Clinical Fellow and during the 1973-1974 academic year I was an Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
In 1974 I returned to Caracas-Venezuela with two american sons: Edward and Joel. My daughter Karina was born later in Caracas.
I taught Pediatrics at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, became active in the Venezuelan Pediatric Society and was involved in Pediatric Practice at Policlinica Metropolitana from 1975 to 2000.
Since 2001 I established a Pediatric Practice in Aventura, Florida.
Concierge Practice
We have a membership or concierge practice. This type of practice allows for a more individual and personal patient care and offers features not usually available in regular practices.
In order to become a member of the practice, we recommend you to make an appointment to meet with us. In this visit, we will attempt to answer all your questions and concerns about my practice. The affiliation requires the signing of an agreement and payment of a yearly membership fee.
You can download the agreement that needs to be read, filled out and signed to proceed with the affiliation.
We will see children of tourists and relatives or friends of patients affiliated with the practice who are visiting town.
